Look of the Day: Black & Purple Stars

Last weekend I went to a friend's birthday party in Manchester. I don't need an excuse to dress sparkly but there's extra cause for it when it's someone's birthday. Here's what I wore for the occasion.

Black and purple gothic make-up

Foundation: Estee Lauder Double Wear in Shell with NYX Pro Foundation Mixer in White
Eyes: Morphe 35P Palette, Kate Digital Memory Liquid Liner.

I hit golden hour when I took this selfie so it made my skin look oddly flawless and android-like. I also used a new beauty product I bought recently, called Givenchy L'Intemporel Blossom Compact Day Cream which is a bit of a strange product. It describes itself as a day cream, like a moisturiser, but it is very thick and creamy, has a dewy pink sheen to it and is best applied as a highlighter for your undereyes and cheekbones. I use it liberally under my eyes and then top with Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Pearl just around the top of my cheekbones. I usually have to retouch my dark circles a little bit but using this light-reflecting product from Givenchy meant I didn't need to do that at all in this photo above.

After I crashed at the party, I somehow consciously kept sleeping on my back in order to preserve my make-up. This was the morning after (the night before)...pretty good preservation, I'd say! Legitimate use of "I woke up like this" is available only in this situation.
