Meet and Outfit of the Day: London Gyaru Meet ft. Draculaura Goshikku Gyaru Look

On Saturday I attended a London Gyaru meet with my friends! Since our last meet some members including myself formed a Gyarusa called QueenE so this was the first meet we had since forming! I had such a fun time with old and new friends alike and lots of photos were taken, naturally!

We went for Korean BBQ at SuperStar BBQ, shopped at Japan Centre then headed to Namco Funscape for chilling, drinks and photos. The food was delicious at SuperStar BBQ, I have only eaten Korean food once but I want to eat more now! Namco Funscape has arcade games, bowling, pool and a bar so some of the group played games whilst the rest of us chilled at the bar.

The look I went for at the meet was a black and pink Goshikku-Agejo mix. It started when I was closet cleaning and found black and pink shoes and accessories I don't really wear much any more and was going to sell, but then I realised they'd look really cute together in an outfit, so that was the starting concept for this look!

Monster High Draculaura look

This look turned out so much cuter than I originally planned! I posted it on Facebook and a couple of friends said I look like Draculaura! I know of Monster High but I don't really know anything about it or the character. I Googled her and damn, I really did pull off an inadvertent Draculaura look! Even my name is the same haha!

The circle lenses I used are EOS Adult Pink lenses from Pinky Paradise. I love how they show up on my dark eyes and look natural yet ethereal. The lashes I used are Diamond Lash Angel Eye for upper and Princess Eye for lower.

This filter is so cute and matches my look haha! I am loving Snow Camera at the moment (photography app), I wish my whole life could be shown through Snow ;w;

I really enjoyed this meet and can't wait for the next one! I posted my look on the Gothic Amino community and someone suggested doing my personal take on other Monster High characters, since I apparently pulled off Draculaura well! I think that is such a cute idea and I am so down for it! I spent way too much time researching the characters from it and I'm now full of inspiration! What character should I attempt next?

Outfit of the Day: Black & Red Gothic Lolita Little Red Riding Hood

Okay, so using 'Outfit of the Day' is a littttttle misleading, as this outing and outfit was taken the other week, but the principle still applies, damnit!

I wore Gothic Lolita to meet with my good friend Suzy in Manchester! I just realised I kind of went for a Gothic 'Little Red Riding Hood' vibe haha~

I was a little late arriving as my Internet was down and I was trying to fix it, so I just did a simple plait/braid to save on hair styling time.

We went for Mexican-fusion food, bubble tea and dessert, as well as shopping and a catch-up, of course!

Mexican food at Wahaca Manchester
Everything was SO good here! This was at a restaurant called Wahaca, they have a few chains throughout the UK.

Taro bubble tea at Wasabi Dessert Room Manchester
Taro bubble tea from Wasabi Dessert Room in Chinatown.

Bubble waffle at Wasabi Dessert Room Manchester
Chocolate chip bubble waffle from Wasabi Dessert Room. This was so so yummy, crispy but fluffy in the middle of the 'bubbles', with chocolate ice cream and whipped cream!

I had a really nice day with my friend; we hadn't seen each other for a little bit so it was lovely to have a catch-up and eat good food together.

Outfit of the Day: Gothic Party and Coffee Outfits

Hello again! Look at me posting semi-regularly! I have two looks I would like to share with you. The first is the make-up I wore to a party last week held by a poet. I wanted to do glitter tears but it turned more into Pierrot make-up but whatever, it was still cute haha!

I did a bronze and black eye with black glitter Pierrot make-up with an iridescent lip. I combined Clinique's High Impact lipstick in After Party with MAC's On and On over the top. On and On is a frost finish lipstick with a blue-purple iridescent shift! I wore a necklace and brooch from my brand 8th Sin. It's a shameless plug but my new website (www.8thsincreations.co.uk) is live and you can get 10% off your first order using the coupon code 'WELCOME10'!

My next look was to meet a friend for coffee. Even though it was such a casual outing, my outfit turned out so nice and I feel like it went to waste haha! It was a full moon and I inadvertently went for a very witchy feel.

The necklace and bangle is by Restyle.pl. The ring on my pinky finger is by The Rogue and the Wolf; it's a midi ring, meaning it goes on the middle of your finger but my pinky is small so I can wear it as a proper ring on that finger! The bat ring is by Closet Child - it broke in transit when I brought it back from my first trip to Japan and I loved it so much I bought it again when I went back a second time! I also got it in silver this time~ I'm wearing NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in the shade Translyvania. It's a bit lighter than I expected but still very nice.

Gothic outfit

Here's my lonely outfit shot! The jacket is from Italian brand Rinascimento, the bat underdress is from Boohoo. The overdress is from Japanese brand Olive des Olive, found in a secondhand shop in Shimokitazawa, Tokyo. The harness skirt over the top is from Glad News.

I am really enjoying dressing up whenever I can and snapping photos! What do you think of these looks?

Outfit of the Day: Post Apocalyptic Goth

The other day I visited my friend in Nottingham for tea and vintage shopping! Recently I have been loving Post Apocalyptic Goth fashion and went thrift shopping the other week to see if I could find any pieces suitable (I may write a post about that later on). I pieced together an outfit and am pretty pleased with the result but my take on the style still needs some work. I feel it still looks too...new and clean haha? I might need to roll around in some dust haha!

I switched up my make-up a little bit, my reason being that a post-apocalyptic goth needs to look fierce and intimidating! I used dark brown eyeshadow all around my eyes to give a slightly weary, war torn look and instantly made my make-up 1000% gothier, more glam and more fierce by doing inner corner eyeliner, which may be my new favourite thing. I wore Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick in Piaf, which is a really unique brown with purple iridescent shift but it's hard to capture on camera.

Jacket: In talks with stocking it at 8th Sin, would you be interested to see it in my store?

Post-apocalyptic Goth outfit smiling
I thought I'd include this 'outtake' - normally I'm not a fan of my smile, but I am trying to get over that and thought this was quite nice to post. We all like to pretend we have such put together dispositions, and we want to look perfectly poised, posed and positioned but we're not and we should celebrate that more.

We went to Hopkinsons Vintage, Antique and Arts Centre, which is a three storey building filled with vintage and antique wares, cafes, a vintage style salon and even a guitar teacher. We spent a long time in there as there's so much to look at, they really have any category of vintage or antique items that you can think of. Afterwards we went to The Pit and Pendulum, a Gothic pub. It's shameful but I've never actually been in it, which is terrible as a Midlands based Goth haha! Every baby bat, including myself, couldn't wait until they were old enough to go to The Pit and Pendulum, but for some reason I just never got round to going. The pub is actually really cool, to be honest, and the clientele are naturally alternative so it's one of the few places in Nottingham you don't feel out of place as an alternative person.

I had a really fun day out and it was great to try a new fashion style. Have you been up to anything fun recently?
