Review: Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream Bright Fit SPF30 N02 Light Beige

I tried a sample of Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream Bright Fit in Shade N02 Light Beige the other day so I thought I'd write a quick review of it whilst I'm enjoying some frozen raspberries - I'm trying to eat healthier and be a bit more active recently, to try and lose weight/'tone up' so I can fit clothes better in Japan haha!

Brand: Etude House
Name: Precious Mineral BB Cream Bright Fit
Shade: N02 Light Beige
Price: $12-$20 - although it looks like it's discontinued, a few stores seem to be selling it still. Saying that, I don't know if they actually have it in stock, and may just refund you after placing an order. That has happened to me a couple of times when trying to purchase discontinued products.

Bright Fit is the type of this BB Cream - there is also Cotton Fit, Perfect Fit and Blooming Fit; Bright Fit is brightening and moisturising, Perfect Fit has slightly higher coverage and Cotton Fit is oil absorbing. It's not clear to me what Blooming Fit does, it says it brightens, moisturises and has a 'light, silky feel'.

There are four shades - N02 Light Beige, W13 Natural Beige, W15 Sand Beige and W24 Honey Beige. In terms of BB creams, they usually only come in one or two light shades so I think this product is a little more versatile and the darker shades could be worn by more tanned people. I know a lot of darker skinned people have trouble wearing Korean BB creams due to Koreans affinity towards paler skin.
This is the sample packaging, quite pretty as far as samples go! The classic Etude House style of pretty. I cut open the sample and squeezed out as much as I could into a small pot.

This is the full sized packaging. It's quite cute and pretty.
This is the BB cream partially rubbed in on my hand.

The photo on the left is my untouched, makeup-less face - the second photo is with a light layer of the BB cream on, with a little more added on to touch up like I would with any other foundation. The lighting has made it look quite grey, and I guess it looks a little grey in the pot but it evens out and adjusts to your skin in a minute or so. It gives medium coverage and looks quite nice on the skin. It just evens everything out for a natural look. This is shade N02 Light Beige, which was absolutely fine for my pale skin tone. It wasn't as pale as I'd normally like but it's a natural shade and fine for everyday wear.

Squeezing the sample sachet into a small pot gave me enough BB cream for 3 applications. The BB cream feels lightweight on - since I wear quite full coverage foundation most days, I think nothing of what a foundation feels like on the skin in terms of 'weight' (like, if it feels heavy on the skin or like you're wearing a mask) but this reminded me how lightweight a natural coverage BB cream/foundation can be. I set it with my regular powder, added blush, contour, concealer and highlighter and off I went on a day of errand running.

The colour doesn't oxidise on the skin throughout the day, and it still looked nice and even after a day of wearing it. A little had worn off on my nose through touching it, everyday wear and perhaps my nose being a bit oilier than the rest of my face but it wasn't very noticeable at all.

This BB cream is a nice, lightweight BB cream perfect for natural, flawless coverage. It had quite good staying powder on my dry-normal skin type, didn't change colour throughout the day and didn't wear off much at all (y'know how you can wear some BB creams/foundations for a whole day, and at the end of it it looks like you didn't even put anything on!?). It was absolutely fine for a regular day of errand running, where you don't need a full coverage foundation. I would consider purchasing this if it weren't discontinued, although I'm quite curious to try Etude House's other BB creams, since I hear they're all quite good. I give it 4 stars out of 5!

Hyper Japan 2015 and updates~

Hello everyone! Wow, it's been a long time since I blogged again, I'm sorry ;w; I was very busy leading up to Hyper Japan but now it's over, and I have a couple of weeks until my next event, Tattoo Jam in Doncaster, so I'll show you what I've been up to!

I was preparing a lot leading up to Hyper Japan, as it's one of my biggest events of the year. I was looking forward to seeing my friends there, and I discovered Die Milch were attending and performing, so I was looking forward to seeing Coco again and meeting Mocha for the first time!

Me, Mocha and Coco! They're both so cute and talented! I bought their new album, Imperial, got it signed and chatted with them a little but I got a bit nervous and stumbled over my words >_< I was able to chat more than last time though, so at least I've improved!

Me and the lovely Christy! I haven't see Christy in a while since I haven't attended many local meets so it was so nice to see her again! She was helping a Chinese indie brand, Long Ears and Sharp Ears, have a stall at Hyper Japan. Ignore my fringe, it looks so gross here because it was so hot all weekend... ;w; I tried to keep as cool as possible and brush my fringe but it looks gross and sweaty XD

I also saw other friends I didn't get to take photos with! >_<

I don't know if you remember but at the last Hyper Japan summer event, I mentioned that I met a super lovely and awesome girl called Tina, who was with the Joshibi University of Art and Design. I didn't know if she was coming again this year though. I went to get my exhibitors passes on the Thursday (when exhibitors can set up their stalls/booths) and the Joshibi University booth was right next to the exhibitors office...my heart literally stopped for a second as I saw Tina at the booth! She was doing something so I got my exhibitors passes, made sure I didn't look all sweaty and then casually browsed the stall until she saw me (totally not a creeper... >_>;;) I was so so happy to see her, and I hope she was happy to see me again too haha~ I had to go set up my stall but we chatted for a bit, squealed and hugged for a bit more, then I said I would definitely see her later! I got to see her over the weekend and it was so nice! She has a very similar fashion taste to me (although I don't have many dresses until I go to Japan) and really likes my jewellery, creepy things with eyeballs and insects on, etc!

Me and Tina on the Saturday! She's soooooo cute *0* We said we will definitely write this time and I will hopefully see her when I go to Tokyo in December/January! \*0*/

I will also count this photo as an outfit shot haha, as I didn't take many other photos of my outfit on Saturday >_<

On the Sunday of Hyper Japan, Tina visited my stall again with Yoko and another girl from Yoshibi (the girl wearing the hat, I didn't catch her name unfortunately ;w;). We got a photo together <3

Then we took lots of selfies together later on mwahaha~

In the top photo Tina is wearing one of my rings she bought last year~ >___< I really like the bottom photo, I look as happy/pleased as I felt haha, but in a nice way (like no goofy smile or laugh lol)

A selfie from Tina's camera~

When the show ended we had to say goodbye again, but not for long - only until December/January! And I will definitely write to her very soon~ <3 I was so so so happy she came to Hyper Japan again! She is graduating from Joshibi next year so she may not be able to come next year - I'll just have to make sure I go to Japan regularly to have a chance to see her haha!

I had another great year at Hyper Japan, I can't wait for the Christmas event. Now I'm preparing for Tattoo Jam in Doncaster but I think I am getting better with preparing stock for many events - I still have lots of stock left over, even though I did well at Hyper Japan. I sold out of all my black heart chokers, garters, pentagram garters and padlock chokers, as well as the pink, white and blue variations of some so I am busy making those again!

Here are some more photos from recently~

Me and my aunt had a cheeky Nando's after Hyper Japan! So tasty!

My current nail colour - I have never had nude nails before but I actually really like them! I feel very classy and sophisticated haha~

I made Jayde some badges for her birthday and I made myself a Hate Heart badge to experiment! I really like it haha, I plan to make more!

Have you seen the Chanrio character maker Sanrio has released? You can make your own cute character and if you scan a code, it will take part in the Puroland parade at Puroland, the official Sanrio theme park in Japan! I made me as a Chanrio character heh heh.

I went to the York International Tattoo Convention in June. I took a selfie waiting for the train, of course! XD

Selfie from when I went to visit my mum one day. In all these photos I am wearing the same foundation, Dermacol Make-up Cover but it looks different in all these photos! XD Sometimes it looks natural and sometimes it looks super pale! I inadvertently went for a 'sickly' makeup look here but I really liked it haha.

Found a selfie from a while ago and went all Warhol on it.

I am still obsessed with saving money for Japan, selling all my possessions/shop stock, and learning Japanese, but I'm also addicted to playing Fallout New Vegas at the moment >_< I will try to take some time out to blog more often now!
