Flower Question Tag

I saw this question tag post a few days on Tumblr and thought it would be cute to do! Copy, paste and fill with your own answers and we can get to know each other better! This is good for those times like Blogger Awards where they want you to write facts about yourself and you completely blank...or maybe that's just me...

Carnation: If I handed you a concert ticket right now, who would you want to be the performer?
At the moment I'd love it to be Voltaire or The Brilliant Green! I'm listening to both a lot at the moment and it seems neither of them will come to the UK any time soon so I'd love to see either of them.

Jasmine: What color looks best on you?
Black, obviously! If I had to pick another colour I'd say wine red?

Allium: What's the best thing you can cook?
Katsu curry with tonkatsu! That's Japanese curry with breaded pork cutlet. I learned the recipe from Cooking With Dog and my curry sauce is really nice and hearty, with vegetables and spices in. Pork with the curry is way better than the chicken you get in some Japanese restaurants though I'd never have thought to pair curry and pork together!

Calla Lily: If you died right now, what song would you want to play at your funeral?
Jesus, I haven't really thought about it haha. I don't want some cringey, sentimental nonsense but I don't want to be that person who has the stupid, quirky or comedic song. Right now I'm just thinking 'Hell in a Hand Basket' by Voltaire would be pretty funny but it'd still be embarrassing to play.

Poinsettia: Favorite holiday dish?
Hmm, probably Christmas pudding though we don't eat it very often! Or at mum has a habit of buying one every year and we never eat it because everyone else is too full - does no one else save room for pudding anymore?! With brandy sauce is the nicest...maybe I'll buy one this year and eat it all by myself! Wow, that's depressing...

Oxlip: Would you ever get into a long distance relationship?
No, they're not for me. In my opinion, a lasting relationship needs contact; kisses, cuddles, holding hands, all the little touches you appreciate when you're not with your partner. A long distance relationship that is temporary, say if you study abroad or something similar, is fine because you know you will be able to see and touch them again at some point.

Primrose: Favorite kind of soup?
I don't like soup...maybe hot and sour soup from the Chinese? Or the broth left from ramen haha...

Rose: Are you currently in love with someone?
Yes, though I don't really like to talk about mushy stuff haha...although a few of my friends are talking about living in Japan to teach English and a few friends and I would love to go to Japan for longer than a holiday but not long term, I couldn't imagine leaving Rob behind for more than a few months. This kind of touches on the long distance thing too haha.

Amsonia: Would you ever become a vegan?
Noooooo! Though I respect vegans for their life choices and respect for animals, I love meat and animal produce too much. In fear of getting 'flamed', I also believe that we had to eat meat back when we were cavemen in order to survive but now, we are at a fortunate position that we can choose whether or not to eat animals and animal produce and I respect that.

Peony: What's your favorite hot beverage?
I drink tea an awful lot but if I could drink anything without any repercussions, it'd be hot chocolate. All the time. Made with milk, not water.

Tulip: For your birthday, what kind of cake do you ask for?
Lately I'd really love one of those classy looking cakes with the cream, fruit and chocolate, like below!
Gorgeous classy fruit & cream cakes
They're so cute and elegant!

Myrtle: Do you like going on airplanes?
Yeah! Though I haven't been on one since I was about 13. Now that I need my skincare and stuff, I haven't experienced the horrible drying out of your skin you get from the air re-circulating so I probably wouldn't like it as much nowadays. XD

Hibiscus: Did you ever play an instrument? If so what?
I played the guitar for a very short period, like 2 months? I played the cello for about 6 months to a year though and I'd love to play the violin now. I sang all the time when I was younger and wanted to be a cool singer haha.

Zinnia: Who was your best friend when you were six years old?
I had a childhood best friend called Charlotte. My mum and hers were best friends and they were even next to each other when they were giving birth to us! Charlotte was born on the 3rd February and I was born of the 4th! We had a really cool shared birthday party one year with a bouncy castle and face painting, and my mum and hers made us both a kickass fairytale castle cake with froggy guardsmen! But we grew apart as we entered secondary school and entered different 'scenes' as it were.

Poppy: What color was your childhood home?
Er, brown? Like most houses in the UK? It had brown, grey and white gravel down the outer walls that really fucking hurt when you scraped yourself on it.

Hydrangea: Starbucks order?
Normally just a plain tea or coffee. No repercussions or calories aside, a Strawberries and Cream Frappucino or some sort of caramel latte thing or a seasonal drink with a billion calories in it.

Violet: Do you like where you're from?
...No, not really. It's a small town full of stupid people with not much to do. Derby's not amazing but at least it's better than my home town.

Locust: What was your favorite book as a child?
I loved a book called 'The Two Princesses of Bamarre'. It was about a tough princess and a meek princess but the tough princesses falls ill with a disease and the meek princess has to venture out and find a cure. It has a wizard she ends up marrying, fairies, dragons and all that kind of stuff.

Rhododendron: What's the scariest dream you've ever had?
Oh, I remember it vividly! I thought it'd make a good horror film but it's not really coherent haha. Basically I'm in this hospital with my mum and in another room these teenagers get killed by this kind of fleshy, swirling vortex thing that sucks all matter up into it. It breaks into the waiting room and everyone starts running for the exit. The hospital staff closes the doors and says no one can leave but my mum punches them in the nose and pushes past. At the next set of doors though, they get blocked off again and my mum pushes me through them but I lose her and she gets trapped on the other side. There's an incinerator and an exit in the basement of the hospital so this woman and I start running down the stairs but I can feel something chasing me behind. It pushes this woman over and breaks her legs but I manage to keep running. I get down to the incinerator and the exit and come out into this fenced off enclosure with some big dumpster-style bins. There's zombies all around, pushing against the gates and some other people are trying to escape too. We push the bins to one of the sides of the fence and start to climb up them to climb over the fence but the zombies push through the gates. The other people push me over the fence but get attacked; I get over the fence and am safe but no one else makes it. I remember I was so upset when I lose my mum in the dream and even these random strangers help me and get eaten in the end, it was really sad.

Queen Anne's Lace: Would you rather carve pumpkins or wrap presents?
Wrap presents any day. Pumpkins are fun but I can't really do the awesome designs and it's messy. You can have fun wrapping presents with bows and ribbons and shit!

Magnolia: Favorite kind of candy?
It depends what kind of mood I'm in. I can have preference over many different candies depending on my mood but if I'm in the mood for chocolate, my favourites are Boost, Picnic, Double Decker or Yorkie - big, chunky chocolate bars haha!

Aster: Would you rather be cold or hot?
Definitely hot. I really hate being cold, I tense up and can't breathe properly, it's really weird haha.

Marigold: Do you listen to what's on the radio?
Nope. I don't wanna be an elitist hipster so if I'm being diplomatic, I'll say that today's music is not really my style. If I'm being honest though, I think it's all shallow, tasteless and not good inspiration or role models for the people growing up with it.

Heliconia: Do you like when it rains?
If I'm indoors and all warm and snuggly, sure. If not, I hate it with every fiber of my being.

Azalea: What's a movie you cried while watching?
I could name a few! I'm not really sentimental but ones that have made me cry are Leon: The Professional and The Lion King. I can't think of any others right now but I know there are a few more. The ending of Buffy season 5 made me cry too.

Dandelion: Do you think you're important?
No but I'd like to be. I hope that doesn't sound pretentious or overbearing, I just mean I want to work towards being respected and successful; not just in my business (though I'd say that is the main element I'd like to be successful and be considered a 'brand' in) but in my social life too. A group of friends that respects each other, brings out the good qualities in each other and can screw around together is something everyone should have.

I learned a lot of new flowers by doing this, it was fun! Do you enjoy posts like this? I don't normally do them because I figure people don't really care but I enjoy reading them from other blogs so I'd like to hear your input!
