Review: Technic Lipstick in Sassy

*Listening to: Hana no Yume by Chatmonchy*

Hey all! Since leaving my job as a consultant at a premium beauty counter, I've wrote myself a schedule to outline what I need to do every day. I'm going to try and update my blog 2-3 times a week so guess what's on today's agenda? 'Write a blog post (RE: Lipstick review)' Yes, I do write like that in my own planner. I even put corresponding stamps next to most tasks; for example, I usually put a teacup stamp on any 'Update blog' tasks since I'm usually drinking a cup of tea whilst blogging! My boyfriend asked me why I do this every night since no one else is going to see it - it doesn't matter, I tell him! I'm going to see it and it brightens my day a little more! Anyway, onto a relatively simple lipstick review now.
Brand: Technic
Name: ...Lipstick? I really don't think brands like 'Technic' have product lines haha
Shade: Sassy
Price: £1.99
Where to buy: Bodycare, a discount beauty store nationwide in the UK

I bought this lipstick whilst in Manchester shopping with my friend Emily. She wanted Bodycare for some hair products and whilst Bodycare isn't really known for their well-known makeup brands (they do have discounted well-known hair and fragrance brands though), I thought I'd browse the lipsticks and found this cute hot pink colour. I remember someone said I'd suit a bright pink lipstick, a similar shade to my Cyberdog Exposure Shrug so for £1.99, how could I resist? It has actually turned out to be a worthy lipstick in my makeup bag!
The packaging is pretty standard - it's not gorgeous but it could be a lot worse. I like the colourful flash of the hot pink on the top of the lipstick; it also shows the colour accurately which is always helpful. To be honest, this lipstick packaging has a pretty chic look for £1.99. It's a regular twist-up lipstick and the cap clicks into place.

The colour of the bullet is pretty accurate to what it looks like on lips.
Three swatches - from right to left, it's one, two and three swipes and the colour builds in intensity.

The colour is a hot, neon pink that was pretty adventurous for me when I bought this a few years back! You can build up the lipstick colour and when I first bought it, I applied it very lightly since I wasn't used to the colour. Now I just whack it on, full intensity haha! The little specks you seen in both photos are glitter but fear not! Contrary to what it looks like, it doesn't translate to a kiddie lipstick suitable for a 13 year old girl at a disco on the lips.
Here are my bare lips - the colours are a bit warmer in this photo than in real life due to lighting issues. >_>
The lipstick applied on one half of my lips (the right half)
The lipstick applied all over the lips, full intensity.

As you can see, you really can't see the glitter when the lipstick is actually applied. The colour is actually really pretty and suits my fair complexion! The texture is pretty moisturising and creamy but it can get a little gritty due to the glitter.
This lipstick can last about 4-5 hours on its own or with a lipgloss on top for me. I can apply it in the morning and not have to reapply until after lunch. If I don't eat for a while, the colour fades a little after 4-5 hours to a more natural, rosy pink. It doesn't do that thing where it leaves a line of lipstick around the edge of your mouth though, which I'm glad for.
To say this was a £1.99 lipstick bought on a whim, I'm pretty damn impressed with it! The colour is super cute and thankfully suits me, it looks nice with and without a lipgloss and lasts as long as other lipsticks. Maybe I'll take a trip to Bodycare's lipstick section more haha! At the prices, I can try any colour I like! If you're not a fan of glitter though, I'd advise to find a different lipstick as it can be gritty and you can see the glitter a teensy bit if you don't put a gloss over the top. I'm about halfway or more through of this lipstick and to be honest, if I can't find it again in Bodycare, I don't know what I'll do! I really like the colour and I hate having to hunt around other brands for the exact same colour. >_> I give this lipstick 5/5 stars; for me, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it!

My Koreadepart #3 Haul!

Since I have had my new job as a beauty consultant, I've had a little more money to play around with so I did a big order at Koreadepart! This is my third order from them and I love them! Their prices are on par with the original prices in Korea and the shipping only makes them just a little bit more expensive, probably only $1 extra per item so it's a lot better than other, overpriced stores. As with both of my previous orders, I invited a couple of friends to join the order to lighten the shipping and customs load! After I paid £50 customs, the package arrived at my boyfriend's store on my day off so I actually put as little makeup on as I could get away with, jumped on a bus, grabbed the box, jumped back on the bus home and spent some alone time with my goodies!

Enough talking, let's get to pictures! I will do reviews of each item as I use them and have the time - let me know if there's anything you'd like me to review sooner rather than later!

Okay, so this is all of our items items are pretty much the top row and the last third of the bottom row. XD

One thing I was really excited about trying was the full Snail & EGF Repairing skincare line by Secret Key. I have used the cream before so I restocked on the cream and added the toner, essence and emulsion to it. They also do an eye cream but at the moment I'm using Clinique's All About Eyes.

The packaging for the cream has slightly changed - the jar is slightly more rounded on the bottom, that's all.

I've used Dermal's Snail Essence sheet masks before so I thought I'd try another variation. This is the Hyaluronate type for dry skin.

I thought I'd try some sheet eye masks too whilst I'm at it! Gotta keep looking young and virgin blood only helps so much...Dermal Rich Moisture Eye Patch.

Nature Republic Super Aqua Max Deep Moisture Sleeping Pack. I'm really making sure my skin is as hydrated as possible!

I've also decided to start taking sun protection more seriously now that I'm 20 and not getting any younger! I got Skinfood's Gold Kiwi Waterproof Sun Cream SPF50 PA+++. I apply it after my regular skincare routine and before my makeup. I also use a powder with SPF50 in it but I don't reapply during the day. Maybe I should start but I'm unsure how much powder I actually need to use to get the labelled SPF...

Holika Holika's best selling Jewel-light Waterproof Eyeliner in White

Missha Signature Extreme Cover Concealer - I'm sick of my concealer creasing and fading throughout the day so I looked for the highest coverage concealer possible! I've used this two days and I'm already in love.

Tony Moly Face Mix Cover Pot Concealer - I have the Face Mix Foundation but I haven't used it yet as I'm waiting on my other foundations running out. The Missha concealer above was $12 and this one was $3 so I bought both to see which would be better - I used this today but it creases and fades slightly throughout the day like some other concealers I have so I'm gonna stick to the Missha one and this one will go in my makeup bag as an emergency one.

Skinfood Black Bean Lip Line Pencil in Pinky Red. I love the lip brush on the other end, I use it for precision lipstick application!

The Saem Rouge Essential Moisture Lipstick in Blood Red

The Saem Saemmul Flower Lipgloss in Rose

Something I've been wanting for ages now, purely for the novelty factor! Skinfood's Honey Pot Lip Balm - it's actually really good!

My friends got a few items too, including Holika Holika Magic Pole Mascara, Syn-ake Anti-Wrinkle & Whitening Eye Cream and Face Cream and Etude House Aloe sheet masks.

Our total order amount came to almost $300 including shipping - look at all the samples we got! This is the most samples I've ever received in an order, I think they're stepping up their game to compete with other webstores. I'll always love you, Koreadepart! These will be divided up between me and my friends accordingly but I haven't decided who gets what yet.

Dermal Acerola Cherry Collagen Essence Mask, for regeneration, moisture and nutrition - sounds promising!

Skylake Refresh Massage Cream and Natural Foam Cleanser

Skylake Green Energy Essence - Koreadepart actually gave us quite a few Skylake samples, they must be a bit underrated or trying to promote them recently.

Leaders Clinic Mediu Pure Feminine Cleanser...yes, you read that right. Feminine as in 'feminine'. I feel like I have to keep this out of principal - I don't wanna give any mixed messages handing my friends feminine cleanser haha!
Nature Republic UV Lock Flower Water Gel Sun SPF30 PA++

Regencos+ CC Ultra Sun-day Control Care Cream

Holika Holika Skin & Good Cera Ultra Toner & Emulsion - these look really cool, I've never had this sample type before!

Tony Moly Floria Whitening Mask Sheet

The Saem Urban Eco Harakeke Cream Ex

Holika Holika Dessert Time Pineapple Pudding Pack - the Pineapple type is used for exfoliation due to pineapple's natural AHA properties.

Banila Co. it Radiant Multiple CC Cream for Men

The Saem Marseille Olive Moisture Cleansing Foam - I'm interested in this as not many cleansing foam promise to be moisturising...I mean, I don't expect it to be super moisturising but at least not as drying as other cleansing foams.

Banila Co. Prime Primer in the Classic type.

Skylake Oriental Herb Cleansing Powder

Isa Knox X2D2 Original Recovery Emulsion

Koreadepart now offer cheaper standard airmail shipping for packages under 2kg so I'm going to try and keep on top of replenishing my products and make smaller, regular orders! Especially if I love the skincare and Missha concealer as much I hope I will!

Do you buy Korean cosmetics? What are your favourite products? I'm always looking for new ones to try, let me know in the comments below! Let me know if there's anything you'd like me to review too!
