Brand Spotlight: Vierge Vampur, My New Favourite Brand of the Moment

Hey all! How are you all doing? Sorry I haven't blogged in a while, I haven't really felt up to it... ^^; But I have lots of new stuff to blog about now, including a follow up to Frock On, the largest Lolita-specific event in history! :o But right now I'm spurred to write a post about this super awesome Japanese Lolita brand I just discovered on Tumblr, Vierge Vampur.

They have a blog and online store that you can only buy from with a shopping service/courier but this is light work for an experienced Lolita, oh hohohohoho!

So when I first saw their items on their online shop, I was like 'Hmm, very cute. Enough to stand out but enough to be popular too'.

As you can see, a little different and 'creepy cute' but what really blew me away is how they shoot their items! Lo and behold!

It really tickles my weird, almost avant garde Gothy side! Sooo super cute and creepy! Even their shop banner has teeth and insects on it.

Not only that, they also make an item called 'Odango Crown', where it looks like you have a crown wrapped round a bun of your own hair (called 'Odango' in Japanese and Chinese fashion as it looks like a round rice dumpling)!

Amazing! You can ask for any colour to be made. I'd love a black one but I'm not sure what colour the crown should be. Gold? Red?

I really love their style, brand concept and individuality. It says on their blog that they would like to make items that are considered kawaii but a little strange and I'd certainly say they've done that. I can imagine this brand will appeal to a lot of girls as it has hit the right spot and has a Kyary Pamyu Pamyu feel to it with the wacky hair accessories and stripes.

Therefore, I just had to make a post about them! I really want to buy something from them! I love the Odango Crown but also the Flower Honey and Meal Time OP. I will definitely have to buy from them using my Tenso address or contact them personally to make the crown in my chosen colours. I also think they accept custom orders for the dresses so you can have these awesome items even if you are super skinny or a little bigger than standard Japanese sizes! To be honest, I would probably go with custom sizing anyway, just so I don't have to worry about it being too small in the bust or anything similar.

I hope I don't have to say but this post wasn't sponsored or anything! I literally just saw it on Tumblr and fell in love. I wish I was paid to write about cute brands, haha! I hope I helped you on a path of creepy cute discovery, what is your favourite item?

  2. Hi Laura! Just stumbled upon your blog. Consider me as a late blooming Lolita neophyte cause I just got hooked with Lolita dresses although I'm a bit wary on some stores online claiming to be Lolita retailers (I came across some LJ Lolita community who exposed these supposed scammers. Scary!). Any legit online store you can recommend for a Lolita newbie like me?

    1. Hi! So sorry for the late reply but I'd be happy to help! I'm really glad you had the initiative to check out any dodgy sellers, no doubt you ran into Milanoo on your adventures? XD Other than Japanese brands that can be expensive and rather hard to order from, I would highly suggest Bodyline.co.jp to start off with as they have $1 flat rate shipping to anywhere in the world and are great for staples like blouses, shoes, socks, etc.

Other than Bodyline I'd recommend Facebook sales groups as you can get some lovely pieces secondhand at a great price - I've got brand for £80 and less before! Depending on where you are in the world, try searching for 'Lolita Sales Worldwide', 'Lolita Sales EU', 'Lolita Sales UK' and 'Lolita sales in English' to get started!

I would also recommend Taobao (sort of like Chinese eBay with lots of different sellers, brands and items for great prices) and Yahoo Auctions Japan but they are a little hard to order from without a shopping service or courier to help you. I'll try to make a post about them both soon! If you want any more info, just comment! I hope this helps! :)
