Super Late Halloween Lolita Meet Follow-up

Hello everyone! I'm so glad I got such a positive response for my previous "How To Order From Taobao" post! Let's hope everyone can experience the awesomeness that is Taobao and we can all have lovely clothes! As long as you don't have the same as me! >;-) Anyway, today I thought I would do another Lolita meet follow-up, this time it is the Halloween Lolita meet I went to in Chester on 27th October! It was so fun and lovely; it was also my first Halloween themed meet and I loved it - I can't wait to go to more! Anyway, let's get onto the lovely photos, all credit given to the photographers!

My outfit - I kind of went for a creepy doll kind of look? Hence the bugs, patches and creepy eyes! (C) Florrie Clarke of Intrinsically Florrie

We stopped off at Stefi's Boutique's IRL market stall in Chester market to peruse her lovely handmade goods - she also did a lovely little prize draw of which Florrie won, so she collected her prize! Afterwards, the hostess, Carol, had hired her photographer friend to take professional photos of us! It took a little longer than expected to get through all of us but all of the photos look fabulous and it was very fun!

I also had a couple of shots with my lovely friend Cat, as our creepy cute outfits went together amazingly! We look like we're up to something... "Hmm, which limb to amputate first?"

As you can see in the photo above, I wore a handmade black OP commissioned from a local seamstress, a black, grey & white gingham skirt from Anna House and black mary janes from T.U.K. I made a lot of the accessories myself, including a white centipede necklace, fly hair clips and shoes clips, tiered chandelier spider earrings and spider brooch!

After a photoshoot with a photographer friend of the hostess, Carol, we went for a Halloween themed afternoon tea at Mad Hatter's, a tearoom and bakery! I haven't been in there before but it's very lovely! A little expensive for an everyday trip/tea and cake but still lovely! (C) Florrie Clarke of Intrinsically Florrie

The afternoon tea was amazing - it was £14.99 per head but it was a full meal in terms of amount! Check out all the awesomely spooktacular food they made for us!

Super yummy chocolate & ginger bat cookies and orange & ginger pumpkin macaroons! (C) Florrie Clarke of Intrinsically Florrie

Yummy yet slightly sickly cake fingers! (C) Carol Louise Jones

A quite nice, natural-ish one of me holding the cake brains of the tea party! (C) Florrie Clarke of Intrinsically Florrie

Amazing Halloween-themed cupcakes at the store front - we each got to pick one to take home with us, I picked the Ghost Slime one (front right) which was lemon and lime flavoured with a yummy lemon sauce/jelly centre (I put it in the fridge and it turned into refreshing jelly!). Afterwards it was around 4-5pm so me and my friend who I had travelled together with all day, Adele, decided we wanted to go home. A couple of more local girls including Carol and Florrie went to Sally's Garden and had photos took there before they went home themselves.

It was a really fun day, especially since I wasn't alone on the trains at all and the afternoon tea was gorgeous! I felt very full and a little sick after all the sweets! There were savoury finger sandwiches at the beginning as well as salad but there were also scones in the shape of ghosts, still warm and lots more food! I hope to go back to Chester soon but I know I will next year as Joanne of Rocking Horse Designs (who also attended this meet!) wants me to model one of her newest dresses made with completely custom printed fabric! Stay tuned for more! :)

I'm also having a giveaway on my 8th Sin Creations Facebook page! The prize is a mystery lucky pack of jewelley, accessories and other goodies as well as a present to give to a friend; perfect for the festive season! Please join, it's so easy to enter!
